Full size Toyotas, Hyundais and Hondas, pick-ups and SUVs, are selling well in western Canada, more expensive than US-CA models (more glitz). This has been going on for some time. The Honda Pilot SUV, a big seller in Calgary, 3.5L, starts around $36,000 Canadian.

Also check out the Volkswagen Touareg SUV. Cheaper models start at around $45,000 Canadian.
The larger Cadillac Escalade is popular here in Calgary, esp. with the Handicapped.

Comfort and power are more appealing than fuel economy, especially since fuel has returned to low price levels and looks to stay there.
Those little buggars are not comfortable over the long distances here.
