I dug around in the garage and found my old nylon line grass trimmer, which still works. I ran it around the edge of the flower bed, but it took longer to untangle the 100-ft cord that it did to do the trimming. Also took the shop-vac down to the basement and vacuumed in the places I couldn't reach before. Really kicked up a lot of dust though.

Bought some tapestry material (a remnant on sale) and foam to re-cover my footstool. Will try to do that over the weekend. Lots of end-of-summer festivals around town, and the cider mills are opening.
