Gnu you hit one of my complaints about car dealers. Tires- the best are seldom on the cars and trucks in dealers showrooms and lots- always some cheaper utility tires. This is one of those cases where one goes to a tire shop and trades the poor stuff in and forks out for good rubber. I think all dealers are equally bad unless one is buying something very expensive. Dealers think good tires add too much to the selling price.
I would buy at the year-end Ford-Chevy-GM clearances. If you want a hybrid, wait for the 2010s but expect to pay much more- and not get all that much saving on fuel.
