I think I heard them say on the radio over 3 or 4 million acres just in the West, so far, with half a season yet to go. It is terribly dry and every strike of lightening threatens. We just missed losing some omes out at the old Goose Egg this past week; that area was made famous in Owen Wister's book The Virginian. As it is a lot of acreage and vegetation is gone. Please do all you can to send that water round; we're in sore need of it.
Thanks,
kat
