Clasiccal moment: used to play timpani. In the middle of one of the most beautifully lyrical bits, I dropped the adjustable spanner needed to tune one of the screws on the drumhead: it didn't just crash to the floor, but managed somehow to bounce down 3 or 4 steps into the audience. If looks could kill, I was surely dead!
