If none of the updates are marked as failing (probably means it never got to a point where it could mark it), then from Windows Update select press the Express button (this will pick up security and critical updates). If there are more than one updates in the list it finds, uncheck all but the first and try to install it. If that installs, repeat, again selecting just one update to install. This way when it fails you will know which update is causing the problem.

(You can unselect it and choose not to be told again, but that is probably not a good idea; these updates generally fix serious flaws and you don't want to reject them forever without a good reason. When you find out which one is causing the problem, post it here and we'll see what we can find out).
