Well I looked through the boxes in the loft and realised I had already sorted through them. So I made my way into Ruth's room and stripped the bedlinen. She's visiting this weekend for a couple of days, and seems incapable of doing the job herself.

Shortly afterwards, I had just gone into the little spare room (aka the dumping ground) and got into the craft bits and bobs stored there when Freya woke up early, probably due to my stomping about.

So I didn't get a lot done today.

Peter came round after lunch, and we found that there is now actual water sitting on top of some of the damp proof coating where it's horizontal (floor). Hopefully it's residual damp in the bricks forcing its way up and out...or there actually IS a leaky heating pipe under the floor. He's coming back in a couple of days to see if it's dried out at all. If not, it's dig up part of the floor time.
So it's going to be 2 or 3 weeks, at a guess, before I can think about getting new flooring.

However, I did get a large bag of clothes sorted out at the end of last week to go to the charity shop. My daughter has raided it already! She went to a pharmaceutical committee meeting today, wearing one of my old skirts. Looked fabulous.
