The old title for this was "Kitty Tyrrell". I think it was first published by the Gows, who identified it as Irish. (Kitty Tyrrell was a historical person, I forget who - a member of the Anglo-Irish aristocracy?). Bizarrely, Niel Gow then adapted the tune as "Niel Gow's Lament for His Second Wife", publishing it in the same book.

(Lemme get this straight. You not only couldn't be bothered thinking up a new tune to commemorate the poor woman, you rubbed it in by telling the world exactly where you got the one you ripped off?)
