I haven't checked with them, but it's likely that anyone coming from a distance could find a "staging point" at Oxford, about 9 miles west of Winfield - straight out Winfield's 9th St. That would give you a place to park/camp comfortably for a day or two with a short dash to the Winfield grounds to come in on Saturday. The RV park there is really easy to find, on the west side of town a couple of blocks south of the highway. You can't really take a wrong turn 'cause there are only a couple of turns there; but the only business likely to be visibly open has gas pumps on the highway and it's where you'd want to turn.

We still are hearing from a few who say they're "thinking about" camping at Oxford for the whole Festival; but I don't think many actually will.... the number keeps diminishing as the time approaches.
