I took the Baritone strings off my Alvarez-Yairi Baritone, put regular old mediums on, and tuned it DGCFAD - standard one whole tone down. It sounded fine. Then I put it in CGCFGC (DADGAD one whole tone down) and I love it. Probably use it that way for the foreseeable future.
