I spend about half my weekends at festivals of one sort or another, which means I'm around a lot of festival food. I can avoid most of it pretty easily, but once or twice a year I must have a really big smoked turkey leg.

It's not that I like them all that much, it's the act of eating them. Eating a smoked turkey leg is a publicly sanctioned form of disgusting primitive behavior. Turkey leg eaters become pretty much indistinguishable from Neanderthal Man. Just trade the Hawaiian shirts for bearskins, and we'd be right at home in Gorn's cave.
