Oh yes, cinnamon toast is another variation of the "butter and sugar and white bread" theme - and a delicious one it is! Yeah those were the days, when no one stinted on the good stuff. Slather the white bread with butter and, as Bill said, plenty of sugar topped with cinnamon. Pop under the broiler till it bubbles. I make it maybe every six months but of course now I'm rather stingy with the butter and sugar because I feel guilty about the calories, and I make it on whole wheat bread. This is a very dangerous thread. I have all the ingredients on hand to make this sinful cinnamon toast....
