Q - I generally run these things through SoundForge to remove the noise and crackles; it makes things easier! I also slow down difficult bits (sometimes that helps, sometimes not - you can usually get the number of syllables more easily, but the sounds can get distorted). I also sometimes try different EQ (that's what I did for that last line I posted - emphasising different bits of the spectrum until I could get a reasonable version).

I'm pretty certain that last version is very close to the actual text if not exact. As you say it doesn't seem to be on the net. (I did have a Russian site bookmarked that had lyrics to lots of musicals and I was going to check there last night, but the site seems to have gone).
