Hi people, I saw Erin Benjamin, an utterly marvelous Canadian singer-songwriter at the Canadiana Festival in Barrie, Ontario, Canada this weekend. She is a terrific singer, rather reminiscent of Joanie Mitchell, a terrific guitar player (in many open tunings) and a great songwriter as well. See her if you ever get the chance.

Her bass player is also remarkable...the best I ever saw. That's the whole act, her and the bass player. I can't recall his name, it was a complicated one.

I also had the pleasure of playing a 1 1/2 hour set at the Canadiana Festival, doing mostly original songs, and got to be a sideman for my friend Marg Raynor on another set.

A delightful way to spend the weekend. Come to Barrie, Ontario next year on August 4/5/6 and see me (George Coventry) and Erin Benjamin as well, in all probability.
