My dogs think katydids are delicious! The pit bull will chase off the catahoula if she gets to one first. In (translated) dog language, it looks like "Rawrrr! chomp chomp chomp   wagwagwagwagwagwagwag wiggle, sidle up, lick lick Sorry! I couldn't help myself!"

I swept out the old coastal hay in the dogs's kennel this afternoon and put in fresh hay. As I was fluffing and stuffing hay into the big plastic dog houses in there they were wiggling and crowding me, trying to push past to get into their houses. They just love it when I fill them with hay, but until now, it wouldn't have felt so good (too hot). Now they are in dog heaven, with nice days, cool nights, and soft and warm beds. I know a lot of dogs live in houses and sleep on furniture or dog beds, but these two aren't suffering. They have a cosy stall in the garage and they come and go at will, to run around or bark or pee or get a drink. Sleep in the sun when it's out. What more could they ask for?

I have a couple of things to take to the post office this evening. One is for eBay. . . and one isn't. . .
