She's finally getting her IV and they say it will finish dripping in by about 10pm (taking ~ a hour). What a long day this has been! It's the kind of day when you want them at home so you can hover if needed, give them hot soup, run a bath if they think it would feel good, make a cup of tea, maybe settle them in the comfy chair in the living room with a quilt and let them fall asleep in front of the tv. . .

Those Mom instincts just don't go away, do they? :-)
