It sounds like you use music and dance as a means of self-expression. In the English speaking world most traditional dance music is social, in that it is there to be danced as a "formal" means of social intercourse with limited means of self-expression, though there are exceptions, but self-expression is normally expressed by proficiency in a specific genre.
