Anyone done any sensible research on the impact that tp has on the environment over the additional use of water and power (not to mention the manufacturing processes) for bidets?

Can't help thinking that one would outweigh the other...

After all, what is the point of a variable flush if you're just going to use twice as much water in the bidet?
