I cleared out the fridge, which I had intended to do on Saturday, so there was more to go out to compost. I didn't do it on Saturday because my troublous neighbour was working out the back then, and as he used to watch me from his kitchen and has accused me of harassment by implication I avoid the kitchen when he's there. And I certainly wouldn't have taken the next step to the compost bin with him out there.

I shovelled compost out from the bin into a garden tote to take to my new home. Oddly, there was no sign of the ants anywhere. I had to push the newer compost down from the top, but I'm leaving that for a couple of days to allow any wildlife to evacuate. I think the mouse ws about.

Incidentally, I had been using the supposed recycling plastic compost bags to collect kitchen waste, but it looks as if some from last year have not decomposed as advertised. I now use paper ones anyway, but it may be worth recording that.
