mmm... I googled and found some news articles, but they all implied the relief was only for people whose houses had gone down in value. Nothing about the payments being too much to cope with, due to reduction of income.
Annoying thing about Freddie and Sallie is that they spend so much on lobbying politicians (read supporting republicans). Can they afford to reduce / refinance?
