I think in my schoolhood i used to sing it like this:

One in China there lived a great man
his name was chica raka chee chai chou

hig legs were short and feet were small
this china man couldn't walk at all

chica raka chee chai chokkalorum chandalorum mani pakkako
okko takko iti kati kati ko iti pai iti pai chee chai cho
