The water in the Thames, does indeed pass through 6 other Londoners before it gets to me, but it is a great deal cleaner - they no longer automatically pump your stomach if you fall in, as they used to in the 1970's..... The river itself is about 3 miles away, we're on what used to be a water meadow leading down to it, gravel beds, nice fresh streams, now one huge mass of housing, built at the turn of the century (i.e., between 1894 - 1905) so lot sof corner shops (most disused now) and no pubs. Nearest one is at the top of the road, half a mile away.... and it isn't even all that good either....LTS
