Because I learned the clean ones first. Besides, my brothers and I learned long, long ago how to change songs from clean to dirty or more in line with OUR tastes. E.g.,

Down in the pest-ridden town of El Paso
I fell in lust with a Mexican girl.
Her name was Rosa, she worked the cantinas
On a very slow night she might give me a whirl.
Rosa was different, charged cowboys a dollar
Except for me -- she charged me ten.

Or that good old fashioned song, "The Boy Scout Hymn":

Softly falls the light of day
As our cigarettes fade away.
Silently each Scout should ask,
"Have I smoked my daily pack?
Have I smoked up all the crud?
Have I drank up all the Bud?
Have I done or have I dared
ANYTHING to be prepared?"

And even:

Tantum ergo sacramentum
Santa's in the chimanee
Build a fire, quick let's roast him,
Steal his sled and gifts for me.

We didn't get many return gigs.....
