BB is absolutely correct, on TV they talked about even a small object hitting the earth at the velocity from space 28,600 mph generates more energy than most A bombs ... The one that made meteor crater in NM I guess was   54 yards but created a huge impact crater and destruction for miles and most of it evaporated before hitting because it burned in the atmosphere
