Brooksby Hall

Brooksby Hall is a picturesque 16th Century Hunting Lodge set in a peaceful, 850 acre estate in the heart of Leicestershire.

The Hall opened its doors to the general public over 25 years ago as a hospitality venue. It enjoys an excellent reputation for food and service. The architecture and immaculate grounds provide the ideal location for lavish weddings, banquets, marquee events, music evenings, ghost walks and conferences.

Don't take our word for it, why not see for yourself by attending one of our exclusive Song, Stories and Supper evenings. At just £17 per person including a hot supper you wont find a better night out. The evenings also offer a bar serving alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and free on site parking.

John Montague introduces and presents Dave Cartwright

Dave Cartwright is an entertainer of unique standing. Having recorded 5 albums of his own songs for the prestigious DJM and Transatlantic labels in the mid seventies, he went on to tour the world extensively, appearing at major festivals and on television in Europe, Australia and America.

As a talent on his own stage, his warm voice, resonant Guild acoustic 12-string and tunefully inventive harmonica style act as a wonderful backdrop to his songs and humour. His performances are not based on ego, he is merely out to entertain and enjoy, to give value for money. He doesn't tell jokes, but he will make you laugh; you might not know all his songs, but he'll soon get you singing; and if you feel down, he will lift you up. He is here to shake you by the hand, not the scruff of the neck.
