Thread Name: Songs About Money
Subject: RE: Songs About Money
Glad my "Eggs a Penny Each" skipping chant got you going again, Azizi.

Some amazing omissions above [unless I've missed them]:

"Sing a Song of Sixpence";
"I've Got Sixpence" [tho ref'd to by Tom Lehrer in his decimal song];
"Three Coins in the Fountain";
"Money Can't Buy Me Love" [Beatles];
"We're in The Money" [Al Dubin & Harry Warren];
"One Meat Ball" ["...looked the menu thru & thru To see what 15 cents would do"];
"There Was a Crooked Man" [who "found a crooked sixpence beside a crooked stile"];
"Hot Cross Buns" ["one a penny, 2 a penny"]

— and true traditional songs in DigiTrad:

"Banks of Green Willow" ["Go fetch me some of your father's gold & some of your mother's money"];
"Wraggle Taggle Gypsies";
"Silver Dagger"[?];
"Banks of Sacramento" ["Plenty of gold so I've been told"]

Phew! Enuff awready!!!!!!
