Well, being of the Macintosh persuasion, I've not been on HearMe and it's been a little frustrating not being able to add sound to the sharing that goes on here. My Yamaha midi keyboard fried my system when I tried to connect it a year or so ago, but now I've found another way that allows me to record live instrument playing and voice files, too.
There is an MP3 conversion software called SoundJam and a recording program called SoundRecorder that allows me to record AIFF, or QuickTime, or wav files. I can then convert them to MP3 using SoundJam. By uploading to a shared folder at driveway.com, I can email the sound file to anyone who wants to hear it. So, this is a round about way, but I have done the first one as an experiment of my son playing Donegal Mazurka on the mandolin (he's 12, almost 13, and just learning mandolin). Send me a personal message with your email address if you want to hear the file. It's about 500k.
