Lessons to be learned include photocopying any proof of purchase or appraisal of a valuable musical instrument, photographing instrument in question, and considering rental insurance or listing it on your homeowners insurance policy.

Of course no thief in his or her right mind would steal one of my banjos. That doesn't happen, fortunately, in the real world. People just make jokes about them.
