Although I knew Lesley for around 10 years or so, much to my regret we didn't actually speak for the last year or so. Regardless of where we ended up, the friendship we shared in the past was a wonderful gift I will always be very grateful for. I benefited greatly from her support through difficult times, argued with her and bumped up against her single mindedness/stubbornness on more than one occasion (like for like, some would say), laughed with her, cried with her, had amazing songs written by her for me, shared my last holiday with her, learned to find my voice with her help and guidance, and can honestly and wholeheartedly say it was a real privilege to know her, in all her glorious ways. My most sincere condolences to Rebecca and Ash.
