I met Barry for the first time at the Mystic Sea Music Festival this year after a short email exchange. He was extremely kind and helpful to this newcomer. And then I heard him sing-- what a voice! My husband and I became instant fans. I've been plotting to somehow hear him in a formal performance ever since Mystic, and must admit that part of my sorrow at his passing is that now will never be.

I am grateful that I had the chance to meet him. My condolences to his family and friends.
