Ah, how I would like to be there, but there's an ocean in the way.

Last year I attended a similar event, The Great Krumhorn Konklave, (held in a bar, of course) where people can play anything that buzzes. Others sing madigals in four parts.   Well, the place had dutch doors, and for a long time, a couple of tough-looking bikers stood on the sidewalk outside, leaned their bulky forearms on the sills and watched, fascinated.

"I will open doors for you, doors to worlds you never dreamed existed."
