I think Mudcat for many members, over many years, has come to feel like a connection to a community of online friends and acquaintances. It was good to create the BS section for connecting to people on topics other than music. Some people are isolated in the real world. (I am). Mudcat means more than just music discussion to those people. It's a connection to share humor and also serious topics other than music (in the BS section, of course).
