I don't know but I would go down the Explorer Route. I lost Hearme on Netscape a few weeks ago after I used Smart Update to uninstall it and I have yet to find out why it will not install it again. Netscape seems to think that the Plugin is still. I have even tried changing version numbers (a little naughty) in the Hearme Java script to try to force Smart Update to realise that an update is availabe to get it to download the plugin but Smart Update does not appear to be that smart.

Much as I hate to admit it, IE does behave correctly with my modified code and goes away and searches for the update although if I point it to an older plugin, it does not check the DLL versions and on the strength of my modification, it will update a new plugin for an old one!
