Dear Liz,

I appreciate your having taken on the task of being the Mudcat Secret Santa SECSY once again this year. However, I'm afraid that if we go much longer without receiving PM's from you with the names of our assigned Santees, there won't be time to obtain gifts, wrap them and mail them in time for receipt before Christmas. There certainly won't be time for the Secret Santas to enjoy the process of choosing gifts for our Santees and giving the traditional clues to the Santees about who their Secret Santas might be.

This is supposed to be fun! If you're not having fun -- if the things that are going on in your life right now are turning the SECSY job into a chore you don't have the time or energy to do -- then please let us know how we can help you. Do you need volunteers? Delegate, delegate, delegate! If necessary, you could turn the entire job over to someone else. But continuing to promise "soon" (for almost a month past your cut-off date for participating) is no fun for anybody. :-(

Please tell us what the status of the Secret Santa program is, and what we can do to assist in moving it along to a happy ending!
