Thread Name: Songs about sea critters
Subject: RE: Help: Songs about sea critters
In the late '50s or early '60s Frankie Lane did a great, rousing version of Moby Dick. All I can remember of if is:

Moby Dick was so big and slick
There was never such a whale
He could sink a ship with the slightest flip
Of his mighty, mighty tail
Now this kind of man won't be denied
What's on the briney deep
And that is why the captain died
Way out where he lies asleep

I don't know where the song same from, but suspect it might have been the theme/credits music for a movie. Maybe somebody with a better memory than mine can add more of the background and lyrics.

cheers,

david
