To this day I cannot express my gratitude for a man who shared his love of music, banjo and guitar, general sense of kindness to all who met him. To this day I still play the banjo and guitar and tell my son of this man-Fred Starner. To his wife Barbara my heart felt sadness on his passing and rebirth. They welcomed me into their home got me involved with the Great Tiver Festival in LaCrosse. So many fond memories of the Starner family. Fred-I have watched you from afar and always had you in my heart. I will never forget you.
