Monique, Just a thought on the first song, is the translation correct idiomatically. "Spinster" is a description of a person who spins wool, but also means a woman of marriagable age who remains unwed. Is that double meaning present in the Occitan original? If the double meaning is not there it may be worth considering a different word.
