It doesn't make any sense to say they were poor box-office because they were English. Other "English acts" EFC could have booked include Jim Eldon, Mary Humphreys & Anahata, Vicki Swan & Jonny Dyer, Speirs & Boden, Sheila Chandra, Jim Moray, The Boat Band...

Maybe they got a crap response because they were crap?
