Sounds like you should just follow your instincts then, as indeed you are. One of the things I'd be inclined to invest in - as you're suddenly eliminating quite a few foods - is a small stockpile of food supplements of the kinds you can easily add to food. Eg: if on a minimal diet, I tend to keep things like like Soy Lecithin, Flaxseed Oil, Yeast Powder & Mollases in the cupboard, just as 'toppers'.
