I am afraid I was on the bill for the Nell Galvin thing but failed to turn up. I have now officially turned into a recluse and don't seem to be able to make myself play out.

In fairness, I used to go out to Moyasta with Kitty Hayes and try get a few tunes across over the noise of the punters, a bit of a struggle always. Peadar Crotty would sit beside us on the stage shouting things into the microphone like 'shut up you feckers and listen, this is lovely music'. Ofcourse they never did. With Kitty gone and Peadar dying just days before this year's festival I felt there were just too many empty seats on the stage that I didn't want to face.
