I fondly remember how Catters joined in to support me 3+ years ago when my wife passed away from cancer. It gives me great pleasure to share with you the news of my marriage to a very wonderful, beautiful woman.

We met at a support group for widowed persons and I was on my first visit. I was introducing myself to the group and telling my story when I began to cry. She found some tissues and brought them to me. As I reached for one, our eyes met and my fate was sealed. It may not have been love at first sight, but it was damn close to it.

It's been a very nice courtship, culminating in an incredible wedding. All my men were in kilts. Mine was the family tartan, MacNaughton. My sister played harp, wearing her sash. The vows were Scottish and Irish, reflecting my heritage. At the end, my mother, sashed as well, was escorted up by a friend, also a MacNaughton, to present the sash to Annette. Then we were led out by a piper who also plays bass in the Irish band that played for the reception.

In keeping with Annette's Italian heritage, the food was Italian and plentiful.

I am now the proud stepfather of three beautiful young ladies, two of whom have their sweet 16 party on Friday. That's right, twins. I'm shopping for the shotgun. The other one is already married to a very good guy.
