This is normally the case at Irish festivals. One exception, perhaps, is with Phil Callery (once of The Voice Squad). I attended a session (one of three IIRC) he ran at the Feakle festival in August. Phil combined exercises, examples, advice and song lore in what I thought was a real tour-de-force.
