There's a small music store which sells trad instruments on the same side of the Ramblas as the Boquera market and about 50 yards from Palca de Cataluna (sorry about my crap Spanish/Catalan spelling) There's also a small store which specialises in vintage guitars etc about hundred yrds down from George Orwell Square in the Barrio Gotic.
