So doth Mrs. Baxter's. And those of the "girls" who work for her. If you were ever to come to Pocatello Mrs. B would show you a good time. She's a Friend of the Library, too, so if you mention my name she'll give you a discount on whatever you buy. Just the first time, though. Poor woman's got to make a livin' while carin' fer them poor orfant girls. But from what I understand 'bout you and Sarah and Hillary and Winona, you might be better off at Charley's. Crowd might be more to your taste, but that's just guessin' on my part. Ol' Blood Chewer goes there "jist ta warm up" he says. He's called that because he only eats blutwurst and black puddings. Lotsa people are afraid of him, but he's fine in the library and in general is a peaceable sort who wouldn't hurt neither lamb nor grizzly much unless he was provoked somehow. Like with Bob Dylan music. THAT sets him right off. You sing "Blowin' in the Wind" and first he gets all weepy and then starts smashin' things, like cars, trucks, brick walls, and the Lewis Street bridge (the city made him pay for the repairs, even though he said he was sorry).
