So true, Amos! I can still recall episodes in "Bloom County" with Opus the Penguin running desperately around the house pursued by a babbling television that is screaming at him about the "Ronco Turnip Twaddler" at a special reduced price..."IT SLICES! IT SPLICES! IT SQUOOSHES!"

In the final scene we see an exhausted and defeated Opus a few days later signing a receipt for a trucker's delivery of about 5,000 Ronco Turnip Twaddlers direct to his door. His whole front entrance is full of packages of turnip twaddlers, stacked to the ceiling. He will no doubt be paying for them for many years to come...at a high rate of interest.
