EDDIE WALKER last came to us 2 years ago with a considerable contribution from Fraser Speirs on harmonica that night. Fraser has departed to everywhere-in-the-world with Paolo Nutini and his number one hits..... and Eddie is again solo.

So some of his material has changed with a greater emphasis on his own songs that have been missing in recent years. Revisiting some of these has given them a freshness....but still......they sit alongside the old blues, ragtime, hillbilly country and swing that Eddie has made his reputation with as a leading exponent of such songs, guitar picking and the attaching history too, that he presents with much entertainment and story-telling!

Eddie Walker has been playing in Edinburgh regularly since his first appearance in town in 1979 at the Saturday night Triangle Folk Club. And since then he's played for Edinburgh Folk Club at every venue it has inhabited.....he keeps coming back because we like him and he likes us and he never fails to deliver with what is turning out to be an almost unique repertoire on the British Folk Circuit these days."
