the thread reminds me of an Adrian Mitchell poem i set to Pixie of doom once, I cant find it on line as I think it is shielded by copyright but roughly it went
" It was Nothingmas day and all the kids
were not buying each other Nothingmas presents
and all over town people were not scrambling
to make last minute buys of Nothingmas presents
Every where you went folks were
not shouting Merry Nothingmas
or singing Nothingmas Songs"
