Thread Name: how many m'catters does it --?
Subject: RE: how many m'catters does it --?
Well, lemme see...
One will write a long post in order to spark (sorry) discussion of how people feel about changing light bulbs. (Is it a good or bad thing, who's job is it anyway?)
2 people will ask Max to change the light bulb, and
1 (Max) will say he doesn't want to control what goes on here, and it's up to all of us to change the light bulb if that's what we want.
3 people will say that the light bulb isn't getting changed while we're sitting here talking about it.
1 person will flame (sorry again) saying light bulbs aren't an appropriate topic of discussion here. 27 people will reply, saying light bulbs are part of life, and folk music is about life, so it's a perfectly appropriate subject. 6 people will write songs about a) the old light bulb, b) hopes for a brighter tomorrow, c) the process of changing the light bulb (including a "ligt bulb changing chantey"). There will be one humerous song involving someone who decides to change the bulb by cutting a hole in the roof and lowering himself through. The song will involve ropes, bags of cement, and large medical bills.
1 person will mention that sitting in the dark is sometimes fun, which will bring about "The Mudcat Cave" thread.
The thread will eventually peter out and be revived again the next year. Someone will then notice that
1 person (probably Joe Offer) snuck in and changed the bulb 5 minutes after the first post.
