She has a cousin who is 5 months older than she. My daughter was/is much more outgoing and confident than her cousin.

At one family gathering, the two 4 year old kids were trying to make their way through the thicket of adult legs.

Cousin, timidly: Excuse me.

Daughter, leans forward, says loudly: Excuse her!
