Not to mention the 'straddlers', as I call them - the conscious true traditional singers who also recognised the significance of their traditions and became scholars & collectors themselves - Seamus Ennis, Paddy Tunney, Bob Copper, Doc Watson...: great singers all, surely - & something more...
